The Inter-State Fair hosted its annual 4-H and FFA Judging Contest on August 18, with 30 teams from Kansas, Oklahoma and Arkansas on hand to compete.

Team winners were Craig County 4-H (junior), Oklahoma Union FFA 2 (intermediate), and Hermitage, Ark. (senior).

Sponsor of the 4-H/FFA Judging Contest is Pumpkin Creek Farms, Mark and Lisa Muller of Coffeyville.

In addition to the 4-H and FFA Judging contest, the fair hosted a judging college work day. Community College, Kansas State University, Arkansas State, Murray State in Tishomingo, Okla., Butler Community College in El Dorado, Kan., and Coffeyville (Kan.) Community College.

Livestock Chairman Michelle Green said it was an honor to have so many college livestock judging teams present in Coffeyville. “It’s a star for us, because they feel our animals re good enough to come and work on.”

The Coffeyville Community College livestock judging team assisted in hosting the judging contest.
